Jeffrey Epstein's cause of death has officially been ruled a suicide, the medical examiner has announced.
The accused sex trafficker died on Saturday after hanging himself in his cell inside of a Manhattan jail.
His death has been the subject of rampant speculation in the week since his body was found, with some — including Donald Trump — suggesting the multi-millionaire had been the victim of an assassination plot by powerful people who feared what dirt Epstein may have had on prominent world figures.
While Mr Trump suggested in a tweet that the Clinton family had overseen the plot to kill Epstein, others noted that the current president was also known to have had a friendship with the sexual predator. Mr Trump has said that he had a falling out with Epstein years ago.

"Pizzagate" is a debunked conspiracy theory that went viral during the 2016 United States presidential election cycle.[2][3][4] It has been extensively discredited by a wide range of organizations, including the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia.[3][4][5]
In March 2016, the personal email account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, was hacked in a spear-phishing attack. WikiLeaks published his emails in November 2016. Proponents of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory falsely claimed the emails contained coded messages that connected several U.S. restaurants and high-ranking officials of the Democratic Party with an alleged human trafficking and child sex ring. One of the establishments allegedly involved was the Comet Ping Pong restaurant and pizzeria in Washington, D.C.[6][7]
Members of the alt-right, and other opponents of Clinton's presidential campaign, spread the conspiracy theory on social media outlets such as 4chan, 8chan, and Twitter.[8] In response, a man from North Carolina traveled to Comet Ping Pong to investigate the conspiracy and fired a rifle inside the restaurant.[9] The restaurant owner and staff also received death threats from conspiracy theorists.[10]
