Αν διαβάσεις καλύτερα δεν έγραψα ότι αυτός ήταν ο κύριος λόγος. Το νόημα ήταν ότι ο Μακρόν εμπλέκει τους Γάλλους σε βρωμοδουλειά προς όφελος υπερατλαντικών οικονομικών συμφερόντων και σε βάρος των Γαλλικών συμφερόντων.

When the Internet was created in the 1990s, the euphoria was great. Visionaries saw a new time dawning, the information age. It waved a new era of true freedom and genuine democracy, in which everyone could have access to all the information.

However, this much freedom worries the powerful. Just imagine that there was already a free Internet in 1991, when the US attacked Iraq. This was confirmed impressively, because a 16-year-old nurse from Kuwait told the story in tears before the US Senate. The problem is that all this was lying. The story was fictitious and the "non nurse" was in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador in Washington. But nobody knew that at that time, because there was no Internet in which one could quickly see who the girl was in truth. Today, everyone could disprove this story within ten minutes by searching for photos on the net and checking history.

Therefore, the US government was already thinking in the early 1990s about how to control the Internet and even use it as a weapon in the “information war” (one spoke of “conflicts in the information age”).
The Highland Forum

The Pentagon had already founded the Highland Forum in 1994, when ordinary people did not even know what the Internet was, the task of which was to analyze the dangers of the dawning information age and looking for ways to control the Internet. Its first formal meeting was held in February 1995. The project was financed by US Vice Defense Secretary responsible for intelligence and information control. It really exists, its official abbreviation is PDASD(C3I).

The DARPA was also on board from the beginning. DARPA is an Pentagon authority whose task it is to express itself to investigate science fiction. DARPA finances research projects that seem like science fiction, but can be used as weapons if successful. It is therefore not surprising that DARPA was involved from the outset when it came to the question of how the US government could control the Internet in the future and influence or even direct the flow of information there.
