In this perspective, the 2006 Second Lebanon War ground invasion was a complete mess, with the airpower being the successful part, with both the 2008-9 and 2014 invasions of Gaza being more symbolic.

In other words, with all of the many "rounds" of conflict, the IDF should not be overconfident about its talent at conducting large land invasion operations.

Η Χεζμπολάχ λέει πως έχει 150 χιλιάδες πυραύλους, το Iron Dome τα έκλασε στους 5-6 χιλιάδες. Απλά η Χεζμπολάχ δεν είναι αντάρτικο τύπου Χαμάς, είναι στρατός ολόκληρος έτοιμος για μάχη. Σίγουρα θα υπάρχουν ηλίθιοι εκεί μέσα που χρησιμοποιούν απλά κινητά μέχρι και smartphone με GPS. Δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να μην παρακολουθούνται τα στρατόπεδα τους από δορυφόρους και drone, αλλά και οι τηλεπικοινωνίες τους (έστω χαμηλόβαθμων). Η αεροπορία του Ισραήλ (και ίσως των Αμερικανών) έχει συνεχώς σηκωμένα αεροσκάφη και ναυτικό και των 2 είναι σε απόσταση βολής. Το πιθανότερο είναι πως οι βάσεις τις Χεζμπολάχ είναι ήδη κλειδωμένες και απλά περιμένουν το ΟΚ.

Θυμάμαι είχε έρθει ένας φίλος μου στο ΗΒ (πριν από εμένα) έψαχνε σπίτι και βρήκε σε μια Ελληνίδα θεία στο Λονδίνο.

Του έδωσε ένα συμβόλαιο χειρόγραφο και το νοίκι το έπαιρνε στο χέρι, το "σπίτι" ήταν ένα δωμάτιο τρύπα που έβλεπε σε έναν εξώστη με αρουραίους. Κάθε Κυριακή του ζητούσε να πάνε μαζί στην εκκλησία.

Τεσπά, έφυγε από εκεί, ήρθα και εγώ ΗΒ και με γνώρισε σε κάτι Έλληνες. Ο ένας μου λέει, εάν ψάχνεις για δωμάτιο έλα στο σπίτι μου, έχω ένα άδειο και θα στο δώσω σε καλή τιμή. Πάμε με τον φίλο μου να δούμε το δωμάτιο, στο πάτωμα είχε γόπες, ο τοίχος στο δωμάτιο είχε μια τρύπα και έβλεπες έξω και μετά από αυτά ο μαν μου λέει "καλοριφέρ και νερό ανάβουμε μια ώρα την μέρα το πολύ για οικονομία".

Νομίζω πως οι Έλληνες landlord, τουλάχιστον στο εξωτερικό, είναι λίγο χειρότεροι από Εβραίους.
