Ο ακροδεξιός πρωθυπουργός της Ουγγαρίας, Βίκτορ Όρμπαν κάλεσε σήμερα σε κατάργηση του Ευρωκοινοβουλίου στον απόηχο του σκανδάλου διαφθοράς του Qatargate. 

Συγκεκριμένα, ο Όρμπαν δήλωσε ότι το εν λόγω σκάνδαλο στο Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο έδειξε ότι οι εγγυήσεις κατά της διαφθοράς έχουν «αποτύχει οικτρά».

For the New Year 2023, the EU has granted permission to mix insects (house crickets) in baked goods, pasta and other semi-finished products "for the general population".

Although there are too few published findings on allergies and possible anaphylactic reactions, the EU Commission considers that no specific labelling requirements for possible allergic reactions need to be recorded. 

However, there is a high probability that those who have allergies to crustaceans, molluscs and dust mites will also suffer allergic reactions when eating products with added house crickets. 
It can also lead to new allergic reactions against the substrate that is fed to the insects. 

Therefore, there is only a labelling obligation if the product contains powder "Acheta domesticus". 

This means that people have to find out for themselves that "Acheta domesticus" are house crickets ground into powder, added to them, and have to independently check whether they could have an allergic reaction to it. 

Admission will begin on January 24, 2023.
