Exclusive: Internal Chinese report warns Beijing faces Tiananmen-like global backlash over virus – sources

The report, presented early last month by the Ministry of State Security to top Beijing leaders including President Xi Jinping, concluded that global anti-China sentiment is at its highest since the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown, the sources said.

As a result, Beijing faces a wave of anti-China sentiment led by the United States in the aftermath of the pandemic and needs to be prepared in a worst-case scenario for armed confrontation between the two global powers, according to people familiar with the report’s content, who declined to be identified given the sensitivity of the matter.

Το πρώτο κρούσμα του κορονοϊού Sars-Cov2 στη Γαλλία εμφανίσθηκε τουλάχιστον έναν μήνα νωρίτερα από ό,τι νομίζεται. Αυτό είναι το συμπέρασμα της ανακοίνωσης στην οποία προέβη προς τα μέσα ενημέρωσης στις 4 Μαΐου ο καθηγητής Υβ Κοέν του νοσοκομείου "Αβικέννας” του Μπομπινύ, στα περίχωρα του Παρισιού.

Το εύρημα προέκυψε από τον επανέλεγχο δειγμάτων αίματος 24 ασθενών που είχαν εισαχθεί τον Δεκέμβριο στο νοσοκομείο με συμπτώματα λοίμωξης του αναπνευστικού, αλλά είχαν φανεί αρνητικοί στον ιό της γρίπης.


Ένα από τα δείγματα, το οποίο ανήκε σε άνδρα ασθενή ο οποίος έκτοτε έχει αναρρώσει, αποδείχθηκε κατά τον επανέλεγχο θετικό στον νέο κορονοϊό.

Η εισαγωγή του συγκεκριμένου ασθενούς πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 27 Δεκεμβρίου - με άλλα λόγια, ο κορονοϊός κυκλοφορούσε στην Γαλλία ήδη από τα τέλη του περασμένου έτους.

Η συγκεκριμένη ανακοίνωση συνάδει με άλλες ενδείξεις που έχουν προκύψει από διαφορετικές χώρες και ενισχύουν την πεποίθηση ότι η ιστορία της παγκόσμιας εξάπλωσης του Sars-Cov2 είναι περισσότερο περίπλοκη από όσο φανταζόμαστε και δεν ακολουθεί απαραιτήτως το σενάριο της ευθύγραμμης εξάπλωσης από την Βουχάν, θεωρούμενη έως τώρα ως αρχική εστία της νόσου Covid-19.

Λόγου χάρη, ο εκ των διαπρεπέστερων Ιταλών ιατρών Τζουζέπε Ρεμούτσι, διευθυντής του Ινστιτούτου Φαρμακολογικής Έρευνας Μάριο Νέγκρι του Μιλάνου, ανακοίνωσε στις 23 Μαρτίου ότι τα πρώτα κρούσματα στη δική του χώρα πιθανότατα χρονολογούνται από το περασμένο φθινόπωρο, επικαλούμενος τη μαρτυρία παθολόγων οι οποίοι αντιμετώπισαν τον Νοέμβριο και τον Δεκέμβριο στη Λομβαρδία περιπτώσεις ασθενών, κυρίως ηλικιωμένων, με μια "περίεργη πνευμονία" - την οποία ασφαλώς δεν ήταν σε θέση να αναγνωρίσουν ως κάτι το νέο.

Δεν θα ήταν παράλογο, πάντως, με βάση την μετέπειτα εκτίναξη της καμπύλης των κρουσμάτων, να δεχθεί κανείς ότι η έναρξη της επιδημίας στη βόρεια Ιταλία πηγαίνει πιο πίσω στον χρόνο απ' ό,τι νομιζόταν.

Αλλά και στις ΗΠΑ, όπου δεν έχει ακόμη κατονομασθεί ο "ασθενής μηδέν", το σχήμα της εξάπλωσης του κορονοϊού θα πρέπει πιθανότατα να σχεδιασθεί εκ νέου. Ήδη στις 17 Απριλίου ο Κρις Κουόμο του CNN επικαλέστηκε περιστασιακές μαρτυρίες ότι η νέα νόσος είχε ήδη κάνει την εμφάνισή της τον Οκτώβριο, ενώ και οι καναδικές αρχές ανάγουν τα πρώτα κρούσματα της δικής τους επικράτειας σε επισκέπτες από τις ΗΠΑ και όχι από την Κίνα.
