WHO haunted by old tweet saying China found no human transmission of coronavirus
...The Chinese government reportedly knew the disease was spreading before the tweet was sent, according to the South China Morning Post.
The New York Times’ China correspondent, Amy Quin, said Tuesday on Twitter that the country had begun expelling American journalists.
Axios reporter Jonathan Swan drew attention to Quin’s story on social media the next day and went on to criticize the Chinese government for instituting a cover-up and failing to deliver life-saving information to the public....

Foreign ministry says US measures are ‘certainly not a gesture of goodwill’ amid rising toll in China
China has reacted angrily to a US entry ban on foreign nationals who have visited the country in the past two weeks, as countries around the world raced to contain the coronavirus outbreak amid a rising death toll.
The US administration on Friday declared the virus a public health emergency, although it insisted the risk to Americans remained low.
The Chinese government criticised the measures, saying it contradicted the World Health Organization’s (WHO) appeal to avoid travel bans and implied that Beijing was not doing enough to contain the virus’s spread beyond China’s borders.
“Just as the WHO recommended against travel restrictions, the US rushed in the opposite direction,” said foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying. “[It is] certainly not a gesture of goodwill.”

...But Tedros’s capitulation to the world’s worst actors isn’t the biggest problem with WHO as an organization. WHO slow-walked its coordinated response to the Ebola epidemic in 2015, which killed more than 10,000 people on the continent of Africa alone. The whole organization is evidently unfit for purpose: it needs to be abolished and replaced. Tedros’s goal seems to be turning the WHO into another United Nations, a body that delivers impotent lectures without ever taking politically sensitive decisions. The world demands accountability and action. It demands both come from the country behind this all and its puppet leader at the WHO....

Ας δεχθούμε οτι οι Κινέζοι δίνουν ψεύτικα στοιχεία. Οι Νοτιοκορεάτες και οι Ιάπωνες που έχουν ελάχιστους θανάτους λένε και αυτοί ψέμματα;
Οι δυτικοί τα κάνανε πουτάνα.
Οι Νοτιοκορεάτες στάθηκαν κωλόφαρδοι διότι βρήκαν την μια και μοναδική εστία έγκαιρα και έκλεισαν τα σύνορα αμέσως. Εκτός αυτού, μαζί με τις ΗΠΑ και την Γερμανία έχουν τις περισσότερες ΜΕΘ κατά κεφαλή. Και οι γιαπωνέζοι παρομοίως. Και φυσικά κινητοποιήθηκαν αμέσως. Οι κινέζοι για εβδομάδες σε περιοχές με δεκάδες (εκατοντάδες;) εκατομμύρια κατοίκους κοιτούσαν μόνο πως να τα κουκουλώσουν... Δεν στέκει λογικά.
