I am game:
I once went to Portsmouth.
Beautiful place that is.
People and museums and seagulls.
Very much like my hometown less an island.
An important port Portsmouth is; plus historical.
And amongst the castle walls,
the monuments of the fallen in battle,
whose grave is the sea.
Across them lies the centre,
bridge to modern Us.
And between the two worlds,
aesthetically bound together,
stands a gray dinosaur overlooking Wight.
Now say again? What's with that?
What IS the dinosaur doing there?
Waiting for his darling to return from the island?
There is a strange mix of aesthetics in this country;
that I know.
Just put the statue of a politician in-between
and the picture is complete.
Then we can all commit suicide in the name of aesthetics.
