Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Situation as of 17:00 on October 12, 2023 - @Rybar SitRep

Northern Front:
Palestinian groups have fired on Sderot, Yad Mordechai, Netiv Ha'shara, Ashkelon, and several other towns bordering the Gaza Strip. No major clashes have been reported.

Eastern and Southern Fronts:
Palestinian Telegram channels reported renewed clashes near Kibbutz Be'eri, although Israeli and other Arab sources have not confirmed this information.

West Bank:
Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces continue on the West Bank. Several such incidents occurred outside the formally Palestinian-controlled areas, with reports of clashes in the vicinity of Ramon settlements and Jenin.

Lebanese Border:
Approximately half an hour ago, a false activation of a Patriot missile defense system occurred on the northern Israeli borders in Safed. Preliminary information suggests the projectile fell and detonated in the village of Hiyam-Marjayoun in southern Lebanon. No other major incidents have been reported along the border.

Gaza Strip:
The Israel Defense Forces are carrying out continuous fire on the Gaza Strip. Due to the density of residential areas, there have been many civilian casualties, with over 1,400 fatalities and an additional 6,000 injuries.

Political Background:
- There is information circulating on social media suggesting that Jordanian authorities are closing the road to the West Bank to prevent local residents from joining clashes with Israelis.
- An extensive meeting took place in Israel involving Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and member of the "extraordinary government" Benny Gantz. Blinken stated that the United States supports Israel's position and will defend its allies in the event of other countries entering the conflict.
- Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, has arrived in Iraq.
