Right-wing volunteer battalions, western security companies and secret services in Ukraine

The "special knowledge" of the Ukrainian volunteer battalions
In Ukraine, those men who fought in nationalist and radical right-wing volunteer battalions such as Azov, Aidar, Right Sector and Tornado are considered unpredictable and particularly dangerous. These volunteer battalions were used by Kiev as a strike force in the war against the insurgents in Lugansk and Donetsk. They did the dirty work at the front, arrested suspects, tortured and shot at residential areas in the People's Republics, often on their own.
In the areas controlled by Kiev along the dividing line to the People's Republics, the volunteer battalions acted like new masters. They looted and brought entire truckloads ( carpets from the city of Avdejewka, 2015 ) to their homes in Central and Western Ukraine with carpets, televisions and other everyday items.
Protection money extortion, torture and murders under state cover
The volunteer battalions are notorious for their sadism and right-wing extremism. They are feared because they keep breaking the law. But they are almost never held responsible for these violations of the law and acts of murder against civilians. Why?
It is an open secret that the actions of these battalions are covered by the Ukrainian secret service and interior minister Arsen Awakow. Criminal proceedings only occurred in isolated cases, such as the "Tornado" police company, which as the official unit of the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior committed the worst human rights violations, extortion of protection money, kidnapping, murders, torture, rape of prisoners of different ages and genders using cell phone recordings ( video : Victims report at the crime scene, in the basement of a school ).
When criminal investigations were carried out against the "Tornado" company in June 2015, the members of the unit barricaded themselves with grenade throws at their base and refused to surrender the weapons . According to the then Ukrainian military prosecutor Anatoli Martios , 43 of the 170 members of the "Tornado" company had a criminal record . The convicts still carried weapons.
