The "special knowledge" of the Ukrainian volunteer battalions

In Ukraine, those men who fought in nationalist and radical right-wing volunteer battalions such as Azov, Aidar, Right Sector and Tornado are considered unpredictable and particularly dangerous. These volunteer battalions were used by Kiev as a strike force in the war against the insurgents in Lugansk and Donetsk. They did the dirty work at the front, arrested suspects, tortured and shot at residential areas in the People's Republics, often on their own.

In the areas controlled by Kiev along the dividing line to the People's Republics, the volunteer battalions acted like new masters. They looted and brought entire truckloads ( carpets from the city of Avdejewka, 2015 ) to their homes in Central and Western Ukraine with carpets, televisions and other everyday items.

The volunteer battalions are notorious for their sadism and right-wing extremism. They are feared because they keep breaking the law. But they are almost never held responsible for these violations of the law and acts of murder against civilians. Why?
