Pilot project: Five EU countries – including Germany - introduce "European Vaccination Card"

The European Vaccination Card (EVC) is to be introduced throughout the European Union as early as 2026. However, five EU countries, including Germany, are already participating in the pilot project, which will begin in September. This should also make it possible to track the vaccination status across borders. However, as in corona times, restrictions on freedom of movement can thus also be enforced.

In September 2024, the European Union will launch a pilot project to introduce the European Vaccination Card (EVC) in five Member States: Latvia, Greece, Belgium, Germany and Portugal. This initiative is part of the EUVABECO (European Vaccination Beyond COVID-19) project, which officially aims to strengthen Europe's resilience and preparedness for future health threats. However, critics complain that with such a vaccination certificate, movement restrictions such as during corona times could be introduced again in the future.

While the EU propaganda aims to address the convenience aspect (all vaccination certificates can be called up centrally) and the "improvement of individual health care", the "better traceability and administration" of vaccinations plays a central role above all. One refers explicitly to the corona pandemic, which makes a more comprehensive monitoring "necessary". In other words: should the next pandemic (e.g. bird flu) come, the vaccination dictatorship can be implemented even more effectively.

Επικεφαλής προσωπικού στο γραφείο της προέδρου του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου Ρομπέρτα Μέτσολα διορίστηκε ο γαμπρός της.

Ο Μάθιου Ταμπόνε, ο οποίος ξεκίνησε να εργάζεται στο Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο για τη Μέτσολα το 2013, διαδέχεται τη Λετίσια Ζουλέτα ντε Ρεάλες Ανσάλντο, η οποία αναλαμβάνει διευθύντρια επί των σχέσεων του Ευρωπαϊκού με τα εθνικά κοινοβούλια.

Σε ανάρτησή του στο Facebook, ο Μαλτέζος ευρωβουλευτής του Εργατικού Κόμματος Άλεξ Άγκιους Σαλίμπα περιέγραψε την κίνηση του Μετσόλα ως «αχαλίνωτο νεποτισμό». Η πρόεδρος του Ευρωκοινοβουλίου ανήκει στο αντίπαλο Εθνικό Κόμμα της χώρας.

Ο Tαμπόνε είναι στενός συνεργάτης της Μέτσολα εδώ και χρόνια. Αφού ξεκίνησε η συνεργασία τους, το 2015 παντρεύτηκε την αδερφή της, προτού η Μέτσολα αναδειχθεί σε πρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου.

Από τα τέλη του 2022 φημολογούνταν ότι ο Tαμπόνε προωθείται για επιτελάρχης της Μέτσολα, που είναι η κορυφαία θέση στο γραφείο της. Όμως, εν μέσω κορύφωσης του Qatargate, η πρόεδρος απέφυγε την κίνηση.

Το φθινόπωρο του 2022, ο Aλεσάντρο Τσοκέτι προήχθη από επικεφαλής του προσωπικού της στην ισχυρή θέση του γενικού γραμματέα του Κοινοβουλίου, επικεφαλής της εκτεταμένης γραφειοκρατίας του θεσμού.

Ο προηγούμενος γενικός γραμματέας Κλάους Βέλε, για 13 χρόνια στο πόστο, διαμόρφωσε από κει ένα κέντρο εξουσίας που επηρέαζε τα πάντα, από την ατζέντα του Κοινοβουλίου μέχρι το ποιος κατείχε τις κορυφαίες θέσεις, γράφει το Politico.

Ως στενός συνεργάτης της Mέτσολα, ο Τσοκέτι ήταν ο ευνοούμενος για να αναλάβει το πανίσχυρο αξίωμα, παρόλο που κατηγορήθηκε για... ρουσφέτια, προκειμένου να εξασφαλίσει πολιτική υποστήριξη και να κρατήσει τη θέση το Ευρωπαϊκό Λαϊκό Κόμμα - την οποία προφανώς διεκδικούσαν κι άλλοι.

Η Μέτσολα και το κεντροδεξιό ΕΛΚ επιμένουν ωστόσο ότι η διαδικασία ήταν καθαρή.
